Welcome
The Library Bistro is the first word in delectable breakfasts, scrumptious weekend brunches and personally prepared private dining menus. And you'll find the last word at the Bookstore Bar, a sweeping tale of Scotches from distant lands, bourbons and whiskies bottled by honest American distilleries, and locally brewed beers and craft wines of standout character and distinctly independent Northwest personality.
And every book lining our extensive library is yours to read. Or, for five bucks, it's yours to own.
Residing within the Alexis Hotel off Madison Street, the Library Bistro offers the casual comforts of an informal book nookery. High-backed leather booths and tables are surrounded by rows of bookcases and hanging artwork.
At street level, you'll find the Bookstore Bar. Sporting Seattle's definitive catalogue of Scotch - 70 labels at last count - and a parade of American bourbons and whiskies - between 60 and 70 bottles on any given day - local habitués and visitors alike can find themselves unlocking a universe of very special brown spirits. The bar is backed by the full library of exceptional cocktail foundations, as well as some of the Pacific Northwest's tastiest microbrews and independently bottled wines. Time it right and you'll be a beneficiary of Seattle's finest Happy Hour: From 4-7 p.m. draft beers, select wines and well drinks are only $4, and the rotating menu of food options is a trifling $3 to $7 per plate.
Grab a book, find a table and settle in to the Library Bistro and Bookstore Bar Café in downtown Seattle.
Please, take a seat and enjoy your meal.
